LIFE GROUP - (for men, women, and families)
Life Group meets at 6:00 pm every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Our desire is to participate in authentic community in order to build stronger relationships with people in our church family so that we may grow closer to Christ. Our goal is that we would be real with one another and that we would have ample opportunity to share our hearts, our experiences, and our lives with one another. All are welcome, so bring the whole family. For more information, talk to Heather or Brad Tricola.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Ladies, please join us!. We are reading John Ortberg's book, The Life You've Always Wanted. The heart of Christianity is a relationship with God that impacts not just our spiritual lives, but every aspect of living. This book, along with exploring the Bible, shows us God's power to bring change and growth. The secret to winning the race lies not in trying harder, but in training consistently - training with spiritual disciplines. Join us as we learn exercises that build strength and endurance for the road to spiritual growth. Paved with humor and anecdotes, The Life You've Always Wanted is an encouraging and challenging approach to a Christian life that's worth living. This book and Bible study will be held the first and third Mondays of the month for six sessions. Please call the church office for more information, 225-8941.
NEW LADIES STUDY – COMING IN
SEPTEMBER!
Women’s Monday Night Bible study will be focusing on BOUNDARIES. While
we want to have good relationships and grow spiritually, we often find it
difficult to take ownership of our choices, freedom, and responsibilities. We
don’t have good boundaries. Can we set limits and still be loving people? What
if my boundaries upset or hurt someone? What can I say to someone who wants my
time, love, energy, or money? Are boundaries selfish? Why is it difficult for
me to hear no from people? This small-group study presents a biblical view of
boundaries: what they are, what they protect, how they are developed, and how
to use them. The goal is to help use healthy boundaries appropriately to
achieve relationships and purposes that God intends for us.
Starting Monday night, September 15th . If you choose to use a participant’s guide, the cost is $7.00. Please call the church office or Jill for more information.

Interest Groups with a Purpose...Do what you love to do, and do it with a purpose.
Do you have an activity or hobby that you really enjoy? Would you like to be more intentional about pursuing it? Is it something you could share with your church family and other friends? The Christian Education department would like to help launch at least five new small groups this year. They can be anything. Your small group could be about fishing, bowling, baking, hiking, or scrapbooking. Your small group could be a Bible study or a walking group. Maybe you have a skill like woodworking or painting and you would like to teach a class. The participants could be from church, from outside of church, or a mix. Your small group can be any size and can meet frequently or infrequently, for a finite time or year-round. The only requirement is that the leader facilitates some kind of Christian activity no matter how small. Read a verse, say grace for a meal, read a quote from a Christian author, or have a spiritual question to discuss. Find something that is an authentic expression of your love for God. Our slogan for these groups is “do what you love to do, and do it with a purpose.” People from the Christian Education committee will provide prayer support, encouragement, and other help as needed.
The goal of these small groups is threefold. One, we want to encourage people to do more of what they love to do. Two, we want to empower people to create a space where they can grow spiritual friendships with believers and unbelievers. Three, we want to encourage community.
We would love to see more people have an opportunity to connect in significant ways with people from differing beliefs and values. Maybe there are people in your life that you want to invite to church, but you are sure they would not be interested. Why not invite them to your book club, Monday night football party, and Yoga class, whatever. Build spiritual friendships outside of the traditional church activities. Help bring church to your friends and acquaintances in fun and meaningful ways.
If you have a small group in mind that you would be interested in leading or participating in, please send me an email.

Director of Youth and Growth Ministries
