Church Library News Minimize
Your church library is ready to help you in your daily walk with Jesus Christ.  We have books, videos, and DVDs for all ages that are ready to check out in our library located in the Koinonia Chapel.

NEW IN THE CHURCH LIBRARY:

Are you looking forward to the snow? As I am writing this in mid-January, I am wondering when our winter will arrive. I am anticipating being all snuggled in with the snow softly falling outside, a crackling fire in the hearth, a cup of tea by my side and, in my hand, a good book … from the church library, of course. Now is the time to look over our selection of books and check out a couple for those “snuggle-in” days. (See what you‘re missing, Sam and Toni?)

Our shelves are loaded with wonderful, inspirational novels as well as offerings from our “Christian Living” section, all ready for your use. Whether you want to dig deeper into Pastor Larry’s sermons or a topic of your choice, let the library be your starting point. Recent donations include a Bible study by Derek Thomas entitled, Let’s Study Galatians, along with a supporting commentary by Martin Luther. Other recent donations include Larry Osborne’s Sticky Church and Sticky Teams, books that were studied when our growth groups were developed last year.

In anticipation of Jane Kirkpatrick’s new novel about Woodland’s own Hulda Klager (yes, of Lilac Gardens fame), we are featuring several of Kirkpatrick’s books, which are available for check-out: A Flickering Light, A Gathering of Finches, A Name of Her Own, and An Absence So Great, as well as her Kinship and Courage trilogy. We look forward to adding her new book, Where Lilacs Still Bloom after the release party in April. (See the narthex bulletin board for more information on this event.) Betty Mills tells me that the Presbyterian Church is mentioned several times in the book, so I am excited to read it.
And when the snow flies, may you enjoy…

Happy Reading!
